Dear Janet,

I still remember the day you joined Documents Section at IMO (IMCO at the time, located in Piccadilly in what is now the Japanese Embassy).  Well, not quite as you joined while we were in Hamburg for the Search and Rescue Conference in 1979.  However I had already met you as previously you worked in a different section.  All these years of happy memories, shared problems, laughs, good dinners etc.  And then, after I retired my dropping point when visiting friends at IMO, was inevitably your office (previously MY office!!).  We both have seen quite a number of our friends and Docuents Section colleagues passing but I could never imagine that you would follow them so soon.  Only two months ago you wrote to me saying everything was fine and that you were hoping to see me for a get together when I would be next in London.   I cannot believe I will never see you again.  Rest in peace my dear friend.
